“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” takes number one spot in cinemas

Lionsgate’s latest movie “Hitman’s Bodyguard” overtook “Annabelle:Creation”($15.5 million) and “Logan Lucky” over the weekend in ticket sales across North American cinemas. It garnered $21.6 million in ticket sales over a three-day period.

The movie chronicles the story of a popular bodyguard(Ryan Reynolds) paid to protect a hitman(Samuel L.Jackson) who is to testify in a high-profile case.

“Logan Lucky” starring Channing Tatum came in third with ticket sales of $8.1 million even as it faired better with critics giving it a 93 percent rating.

ComScore,a company specialising in data and marketing analysis for media and advertising agencies has projected that ticket sales generally are thirteen percent behind that of last summer.
