After North Korea launched a missile over Japan today, 29th August, 2017, US President, Donald Trump, has warned that “all options” remained under consideration.
In a statement by the White House, “Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table.”
The statement said that the world had received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear – that this regime is contemptuous towards its neighbours and all members of the United Nations.
While speaking with Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, on phone, Trump and the Prime Minister agreed that North Korea was a growing direct threat to the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and to other countries around the world. The two leaders committed to increasing pressure on North Korea, and doing their utmost to convince the international community to do the same.
