The Chief Librarian, Ms Pearl Solomon, stated this on Tuesday in Umuahia, at the end of a computer training programme.

Ms Solomon said that the training lasted for a month, and was given to the trainees free. She said that this was in an attempt to encourage youths to develop their computer skills.

A former Secretary to Abia State Government, Prof Mkpa Mkpa, urged the participants to utilise what they were taught to positively impact the society.

Mr Chinazo Nwosu, the Chairman of the occasion, encouraged parents to encourage their children to love ICT as their future careers would be tied to it.

One of the participants, Mr Michael Enyidike, told newsmen that he would apply what he has learnt. He encouraged Abia children to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire computer skills.
