A police officer by the name Oyibe, a native of Ndiagu Ishieke community of Ebonyi State reportedly jumped into a well on Sunday September 3, 2017 when he went out to fetch water.

Family sources reveal that oyibe’s death may have been connected to his recent transfer to Borno state after his posting letter was sent on August 28, 2017.

The daughter of the deceased Ukamaka revealed that her father had taken a bucket to fetch water but did not return for several hours, his extended stay prompted his family members to go looking for him.

When they got to the well side, his bucket was there and upon looking into the well, they saw his dead body floating in it.

Police spokesperson Loveth Ogah stated that the force was unaware of the development as at press time and that a statement would be released subsequently
