The President of Ghana, Nana Addo-Akufo, has told President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria, that West African leaders were worried about his health while he was on medical vacation in London.
President Addo-Akufo said this during a friendly visit to President Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said that he came to see for himself, and was glad to see that Buhari was well.
He said, “I came from Accra today to come and visit my senior brother, President Muhammadu Buhari.
All of us have been anxious about his well-being and it is very good news to hear that he had returned.
“But we are Africans and I have to come and see him for myself. Im very delighted to see that he came back very vigorous and, as always, very engaged on the issues of our day.”
The two Presidents had a good time together, and also seized the opportunity to discuss about matters relating to the ECOWAS community.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said that the meeting showed that the cordial relationship between the two countries was still intact.
