Ahead of next month’s crucial World Cup Qualifier match between Nigeria and Zambia, Zambia Coach Wedson Nyirenda has said that no trick by Nigeria would stop his team from qualifying for the World Cup in Russia next year.
After Nigeria’s double win against Algeria earlier this month, the Chipolopolo of Zambia are now the only team standing between Nigeria and Russia 2018.
Zambia has seven points, three points behind group leaders Nigeria. Although Zambia lost 2-1 to Nigeria in Ndola last October, they are determined to defeat Nigeria in Uyo in dreams of their first-ever World Cup qualification.
Coach Nyirenda said, “No matter the tricks that Nigeria will want to use, they will not sway us from the aim of booking a ticket to the World Cup.”
In preparation for the match in Nigeria, Zambia began a Training Camp with 26 players in Lusaka on Monday.
