Governor Umahi advises PDP members not to insult Buhari

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, has advised politicians in the opposition not to insult those in Government.

Umahi said this on Sunday, October 1, at a gala to mark Nigeria’s 57th anniversary of independence and 21 years of the creation of Ebonyi.

The Governor urged members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to criticise the Buhari-led All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Federal Government constructively, rather than insult the President.

He also urged members of the APC in Ebonyi not to insult him or his Government.

“Opposition is about constructive criticism, putting the leader in check and reminding him that he has not fulfilled the promises he made,” he said.

Umahi went on to commend the President for agreeing that the country needed to be restructured, saying that the nation would be transported to greater heights.
