The Rapid Response Squad (RSS) of the Lagos State Police Command, has arrested ten robbery suspects who had been terrorising residents of Ayobo-Ipaja, Lagos, and recovered six vehicles stolen by them, in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The names of the suspects are Abomi James (34), Omokaro Efe (48), Joseph Uzuazomaro (31), Chukwudi Onyemara (27), Melvin Umeh (33), Nisma Uttah (33), Samuel Shokunbi (34), Ahmed Waheed (37), Augustine Uchenna (47) and Udoh Benedict (39).

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal revealed that the suspects broke into the victims’ houses at nights, packed their belongings, and drove them away.

The leader of the gang, Nisma Uttah, further explained that, after stealing the cars, they sold them to a buyer who took them to Onitsha the following day after re-registering them.
