Former Head of State, Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar, has sent a message to Nigerian youths, urging them to be united if they want Nigeria to develop.
The former Head of State said this on Wednesday, 4th October, at the official launch of Emeka Anyaoku’s Institute of International Studies and Diplomacy, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
Abdulsalami urged youths not to allow Nigeria to break up but rather build on the legacies of the founding fathers to keep the nation united.
“We must allow peace to reign, without which development would be impossible. Altogether, there is strength in diversity. All hands must be on deck to make our great Nigeria greater,” he said.
Also speaking, Gen Theophilus Danjuma and Gen Ike Nwachukwu expressed support for the call for restructuring but implored that it be pursued without violence.
