Minister of state for petroleum resources Ibe Kachikwu is in a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock villa in Abuja.
Kachikwu who arrived the villa at about 11:20am this Friday first stopped over at at Vice President’s wing before making his way to the President’s office.
The Junior petroleum Minister who is the immediate past Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC may now be explaining to the President Allegations he raised in his private memo which was leaked to the media.
Kachikwu had in the memo addressed to the President and Commander in Chief Alleged insurbordination and gross Violation of Due process in the award of NNPC contracts to the tune of twenty six billion Dollars by the current Group Managing Director of the NNPC Makanti Baru.
The meeting between the President and and the Minister was billed to hold on Thursday but was shifted to Friday amidst public outcry over the seeming silence of the presidency on the issue.
