George Weah’s son scores hat trick for the US in Under-17 World Cup

Timothy, son of former Ballon d’Or winner, George Weah, has made his presence known in global football.

The 17-year-old, who was born in New York, scored a hat trick for the United States in their win against Paraguay at the Under-17 World Cup.

His second goal, a brilliant curling effort into the top corner, was reminiscent of his father’s memorable solo goal for Minal against Verona in 1996.

Timothy has been signed by Paris Saint Germain, a Club his dad played for. George Weah played for Monaco, Chelsea and Manchester City as well, having a brilliang career that saw him named World Player of the Year in 1995, a feat that no other African has ever achieved.
