In a Statement issued by Deputy Superintendent of Police Gambo Isah last week, the Katsina State Police Command has drawn the attention of the public to the situation of a 16-year-old girl identified as Fatima Abdullahi.
Fatima was reportedly found with both legs shackled with chain, and taken to the Police Station on 4th October.
The girl could hear but she replied by writing. She wrote the name of her father as ‘Baba’, and the name of her mother as ‘Hauwa’. She also wrote the names of her siblings as ‘Kadija’ and ‘Zainab’.
When asked where she came from, she wrote ‘Kano’.
The Police is trying to locate her parents or guardians.
