Reports say gunmen suspectd be Boko Haram Terrorists have invaded Ngulthlavu village in Askira/Uba Local Government Area in southern Borno.

The sources say some houses were burnt during the attack which occurred at about 2am on Thursday.  The villagers are reported to have deserted their homes to take refuge in nearby bushes.

Casualty figures are unknown.

Security authorities are yet to offer official  confirmation.

Askira/Uba is about 131km away from Maiduguri the Borno State capital.
