Still on Maina Gate, the Presidency has urged the public to dismiss claims that the Buhari administration invited the wanted Abdulrasheed Maina back into country.

In a short message delivered to reporters on Wednesday, Senior Special Assistant to the President on media and publicity Garba Shehu decribed the allegation as a freshly minted falsehood which nobody should believe.

Shehu said Maina’s family members who made the claim simply wanted to be ridiculous.

The family of Abdulrasheed Maina, former Pensions Taskforce Chairman, on Wednesday alleged that their son was reinstated by the Federal Government because he is a messiah that reformed the Pension scheme insisting that their son is not a Fraudster.

President Buhari had on Monday ordered the dismissal of Maina following controversies that trailed the reinstatement of the former pensions reforms chief into the federal civil service.
