On Thursday, the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) concluded its three-day National Women Conference.
The Conference was concluded with a charge to women to boost their entrepreneurial skills, and not be afraid of being more successful than their spouses.
Women were also urged to explore the Agricultural Sector by taking the many opportunities that are available therein.
The Conference, which held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, was themed, “She Creates, She Transforms”.
Women were urged to help one another by introducing themselves to Organisations where funds can be accessed; Organisations such as the Bank Of Industry (BOI) and Funds for Agricultural Finance In Nigeria (FAFIN).
Also stressed at the Conference was that, women should be positively aggressive in order to contribute to the development of the nation.
In closing, wife of Lagos State Governor and COWLSO Chairman, Mrs Bolanle Ambode urged Nigerian women to see the current state of the country as an opportunity to make impact in a challenging situation.
Present at the Conference were the wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs Bolanle Ambode; Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode; Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Mr Martins Babale (representing the State Governor, Senator Jubrilla Bindow; Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr (Mrs) Idiat Oluranti Adebule; and Adamawa State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Ahmed Sajo.
