President of the Republic of Ivory coast , Alasanne Ouattara has commended his Nigerian Counterpart Muhammadu Buhari for driving an economic roadmap that pulled Nigeria out of recession.

Ouattara gave the commendation on Monday while briefing Journalists shortly after he held a closed door meeting with President Buhari at the Aso rock villa in Abuja.

The Ivorian president said he was in Abuja to discuss existing and new areas of cooperation between his Country and Nigeria.

The two African leaders also held talks on how to further deepen Democracy and governance in the West African Sub-Region.

The visiting Ivorian leader hinted of President Buhari’s acceptance to be part of the African union summit slated for the end of November in Abidjan.

This is the First time both leaders are meeting in official capacity since the Inauguration of President Buhari on May 29, 2015.
