Police in Lilongwe, Malawi, have announced the death of Kingsley Maigwa, an artist who was killed by angry villagers in Nkhoma after he allegedly killed his houseboy by accident.

According to an eye witness, Maigwa challenged his houseboy over some missing money but did not get a satisfactory response from the boy. The artist then resorted to squeezing the boy’s penis and scrotum hard, eventually bursting the scrotum and severely injuring the boy.

The houseboy reportedly collapsed from the pain. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Maigwa was arrested by the Police for murder, but angry members of the Community stormed the Police Station, dragged him out, and beat him to death.
