PDP will rise again, says Bode George

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George has claimed that the party would overcome its challenges to win the 2019 presidential election if he becomes the chairman.

He said this late Tuesday during a courtesy call on the Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, in continuation of his consultation with stakeholders towards becoming the national chairman of the party.

He said with the defeat of the party in 2015, only a tested hand can rejuvenate the party and instil confidence in the public to return PDP to power.

“We learnt a lesson. Who is there in life that does not go into the valley once in a while? The highway of life goes into the trough once in a while.

But the beauty of it is with the fear of God in you and your honesty of purpose. You will rise up again. This party, the sun will shine, this party, the sky will be blue again,” he said.

According to him, God is a God of second chance, noting that getting back the central government since the party had survived so many crises before now due to what he called, “unnecessary judicial rascality.”

“We survived the other all these unnecessary judicial rascality I will call them. The Supreme Court listened attentively and gave the right judgment,” he said.
