The Tunisian association for future of science and technology has presented a special award of excellence to the Katsina state governor Aminu Bello Masari.
Presenting the award on Saturday at the Tunisian city of Monastir, the association said the award was based on governor Masari’s immeasurable outstanding support in the development of innovation in science and technology.
The award was received on behalf of the governor by Musa Abdu Dankama, the director education resource centre in the state ministry of education on behalf of the education commissioner Prof Badamasi Lawal Chiranci.
Our correspondent earlier reported that the day wing of government college Funtua represented Katsina and Nigeria at the just concluded international festival for science and technology held in Tunisia last week.
The contingent swept the competition with 3 bronze medals, on presentation of their original project tittles Multi purpose thermal solar collector system showcased at the festival.
Recall that the Katsina state took the first position during the preliminary festival held in Abuja last month.
