Following the eviction session last Sunday, which left the finalists competing for the cash price of N45 million in the Big Brother Naija house, their family members were afforded the chance of sending messages directly to the housemates to encourage them for making it to the final stage of the reality show. But the exception to the rule was Cee-C whose message came from a representative rather than a family member.
Dana, the Personal Assistant to Cee-C’s father, sent Cee-C, widely known as the drama queen of the house, a message on behalf of her family. As expected, this didn’t go unnoticed as it caused huge criticism for her family online, with many of the viewers slamming Cee-C’s family members for not making her message special. Going further, people even accused the family of distancing themselves from the young lady who is a lawyer while she remains in the house.
The bashing has apparently gotten to the family as Cee-C’s sister, Vanessa, issued a statement days ago on why they didn’t send a message directly to her. Taking to Cee-C’s Instagram account, she wrote: “I know some of us would have preferred I did the video. And trust me, I really wanted to. I needed to tell her a whole lot, especially the love from you ALL.
Well, when we were contacted, they requested a selfie video from anybody apart from the family. It was really short notice. “Dana is a family Friend. She was actually part of my bridal train. And We all Know Cee-C has a bad sight. Don’t let no one distract you with non-issue. We totally and (are) fully behind Cee-C.”
