Super Eagles’ two-goal hero in the 2-0 win over Iceland, Ahmed Musa, is already warming up for the goal scoring competition with Argentine player, Lionel Messi, in the forthcoming Group D tie slated for St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
Musa scored two goals just as Messi did in the 3-2 win Argentina recorded against Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Musa also explained that Messi also had a scoring encounter with him at club level when Barcelona and Leicester City played.
“Messi scored two goals and I also hit two for Leicester. It was interesting and I am looking forward to our match with Argentina. I want to score again and pray this time our defenders will stop Messi from scoring. “I expect a tough match but whatever happens, we want to qualify for the next stage of the competition,” he said.
