The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has taken possession of 17 vehicles recovered from ex-officials of the agency by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
The vehicles were handed over to FAAN on Tuesday at its head office at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
The Managing Director, FAAN, Mr Saleh Dunoma, who was represented at the ceremony by the Director of Engineering Services, Mr Salisu Daura, said the agency was delighted with the partnership between it and the ICPC.
He stated that FAAN was not only grateful to the ICPC for the effort towards recovering the vehicles, but for also handing them over to the agency, and urged the anti-graft agency to continue with the effort until all vehicles belonging to the agency were recovered and returned.
Also in attendance at the event were FAAN’s Director of Human Resources and Administration, Mr Honourius Anozie; General Manager, Administration, Mr Abubakar Othman; General Manager, Budget, Mr Biodun Adegbesan; Deputy General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mrs Christabel Eromosele; and the Head of Education, ICPC, Mrs Mary Omonoyan, among others.
The Zonal Commissioner of the ICPC, Mr Shintema Binga, who represented the Executive Chairman, Bolaji Owansanoye, handed over the keys of the vehicles to FAAN.
