President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Bukola Saraki at the presidential villa, Abuja. Saraki arrived the villa at about 6:02p.m. and proceeded straight for a closeddoor meeting. No official reason was given for the meeting. On arrival, four governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC): Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Aminu Masari (Katsina), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara) and Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun) and the governor-elect of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who had emerged from a separate meeting with the President returned to join the Senate President and President Buhari. A source who monitored the meeting told New Telegraph that the looming defection of Saraki and his supporters in the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC) was the reason for the emergency meeting President Buhari invited him to Aso Rock.
