Acting President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday met behind closed doors with the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The meeting which is in relation to the crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation was attended by its President, Amaju Pinnick.
Pinnick and few others suspected to be members of his NFF executive were seen at the Council Chamber before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by Osinbajo.
Our correspondent learnt that the officials had briefed council over the crisis.
Dalung left the Acting President’s office at 5:30pm but declined to speak with State House Correspondents.
Though the agenda of the meeting was not made public, the parley with the Acting President, it was learned, may not be unconnected with the threat by FIFA to sanction Nigeria over the leadership crisis rocking the NFF and alleged government interference.
