Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House Villa, Abuja, Daily Trust online reports.
This is just as President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja for Maiduguri, the Borno state capital to declare open the annual conference of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and meet with the Nigerian troops serving in the North east geopolitical zone.
Our correspondent reports that today’s FEC meeting started with the National Anthem following the arrival of Osinbajo at 11:03am.
As at the time newsmen were excused from the chamber, the meeting was attended by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and 18 ministers.
Ministers in attendance are Rotimi Amaechi, Adamu Adamu, AbdulRahaman Dambazau, Audu Ogbe, Adebayo Shittu, Mohammed Musa Bello, Zainab Ahmed, Udoma Udoma, Usani Usani among others.
At the end of the meeting, ministers would brief State House Correspondents on the outcome of the meeting.
