Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday stated that the Muhammadu Buhari administration’s commitment to the fight against corruption would not change. He said that if re-elected, the administration would jail more corrupt Nigerians.
Speaking yesterday during a doorto- door campaign in Ifako- Ijaiye Local Government Area in Lagos State, Osinbajo said ‘grand corruption’ which took place during the 16 years administration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) contributed to bad governance and the lack of infrastructure in the country.
He said the resources that could have been used for infrastructure and other capital projects to better the lots of Nigerians were looted by the previous government. During the door-todoor campaign, despite yesterday been a Sunday, traffic stood still in Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos State as thousands of residents, including party faithful, supporters, market men and women, trooped out to receive the vice president.
