A total of 33,304 candidates passed with credit the mandatory five subjects including Mathematics and English in the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.
This was made known by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) which released results of exercise on Friday, November 15.
The council, through Olu Adenipekun, its head of the Nigeria national office, said it also withheld the results of 9,457 candidates.
The Nation reports that Adenipekun, who spoke in Lagos, said 94, 884 candidates took part in the examination.
He said 35.10% of the candidates passed in the five compulsory subjects and above.
In comparison, 35. 64% passed the same five subjects in 2019.
