Here is the amount Atiku Abubakar’s son will pay his ex-wife monthly for child support

Following the court ruling that saw Unmi Fatima Bolori, the ex-wife of Aminu Atiku, son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, winning full custody of their two children she will be paid N3m annually for child support.

Yesterday, Chief Magistrate K.B Ayeye sitting in the Tinubu area of Lagos granted Fatima full custody of their children, Amirah, 8, and Aminu Atiku, 6, following years of legal tussle after their marriage ended in 2011.

According to the Nation, the court ordered Atiku to pay Bolori N250,000 monthly for the upkeep of the children and ordered him to carry out medical insurance on the children.

“The respondent failed to file a response. In view of the deliberate absence of the respondent and his legal team, I am constrained to make these following orders in default of respondent’s presence,” Ayeye said in her judgement.

“In the best interest of the children to wit: Unmi Fatima Bolori is hereby granted full custody of Aamir Abubakar Sadiq Aminu Atiku (seven years) and Ameera Amina Atiku (nine years).

“The applicant is allowed to reside with the children at her residence at Katampe Extension, Abuja. The applicant is ordered to put the children in schools suited for their educational needs in Abuja.

“Access is granted to the respondent to visit his children in Abuja and request for the children to spend holidays with him. The respondent is ordered to pay monthly upkeep for the children in the amount of N250,000 monthly beginning January 2018.’

Meanwhile, after the ruling, there was drama as Atiku snatched away their son from Bolori and threatened never to return the child.

But after reaching out to Bolori, she confirmed to LIB that she has reunited with her son and they are currently in Abuja, where she’s based.

Aminu and Fatima enjoyed a five years marriage before their union was dissolved by a Sharia Court in Maiduguri in 2011.
