Idris Elba is officially off the market. On Friday, the 45-year-old British actor popped the big question to his 29-year-old girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre at the Rio Cinema in Dalston, London.

The Rio Cinema was hosting a screening of Idris’s directorial debut Yardie when the actor got on stage to propose to his beauty queen girlfriend.

The Cinema was the first to break the news after they took to their Twitter page to congratulate the pair on their engagement.

They posted: ‘Another @Riocinemafirst! Still 5 days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie.’ (sic)
