The Director-General of the Department of the State Services, Lawal Daura, has been sacked.
The termination of the appointment according to a statement signed on Tuesday by Senior Special Assistant to Osinbajo on Media and Publicity is with immediate effect.
Daura has since been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice.
Daura is however in a closed-door meeting with the Acting President, currently holding at the presidential villa in Abuja. The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris is also in the closed-door meeting.
Some DSS operatives had blocked the National Assembly gate Tuesday morning.
