The Osinbajo-led panel instituted to investigate the financial indiscretions of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir Lawal and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has submitted its findings and recommendations to President Buhari.

The Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo submitted two reports to the President on Wednesday.

The committee was set up in April to look into allegations on financial misappropriation in the distribution of relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in Borno on the part of Lawal and the discovery of a huge chunk of money found in an apartment connected to Ayo.

The committee sought for an extension after been given two weeks from April 19 to submit their findings which was eventually postponed until the President’s arrival.

Prof Osinbajo has stated that the President will look at the report and make his final decisions based on the report’s content even as he declined to give any hint as to the committee’s recommendations.
