Vincent Enyeama: Super Eagles legend quits football for golf

Vincent Enyeama, former Super Eagles captain, has given hints on a possible career switch to golf after a partly successful football career that saw him win the coveted AFCON title with the national team in 2013.

The legendary goalkeeper, who drew the curtain off his career with Super Eagles, paid a courtesy visit to Super Eagles camp on Thursday, November 14, after their 2-1 victory over Benin’s Squirrels.

It was there he made an all-revealing statement on his career with club and national teams, coupled with the prospect after football among other issues.

“To be honest, my body language is no longer with the Eagles, in fact, I have been playing golf all along and I really admire it,” the 37-year-old reportedly said according to Naijasport.

Considered as one of the most accomplished men to don Super Eagles jersey, Enyeama made official debut for Nigeria at the 2002 FIFA World Cup against England.
