Floyd Mayweather, the undefeated boxer is to battle Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) World Champion, Conor McGregor in a duel that promises to be historic. The fight is expected to become the highest grossing event in the history of both the worlds of boxing and mixed martial arts with an expected cash windfall of $475million.

Mayweather regarded as the best defensive boxer in the universe, and who boasts of an enviable record of 49-0 has been tipped by pundits as the favourite to win the match against McGregor who has never been involved in a boxing match since he was 12 years old. Both men may earn nothing less than a $100million from the event as negotiations have been ongoing for over a year now.

Conor is an  Irish mixed martial arts pro who has a fight record of 26-3 and UFC record of 9-1. He is the reigning UFC Lightweight and former UFC Featherweight Champion. McGregor who started boxing as 12-year old has never been knocked out in his career.

Floyd, whose last major fights were back in 2015 against Andre Berto and Manny Pacquiao has been knocked only once to the canvass-Carlos Hernandez in 2001 in his 19-year professional career.

The event is to take place at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA on August 26.
