The Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, commended the team that was in charge of the distribution of insecticidal nets in the State. He lauded them for achieving an 88% distribution rate for the first time.
Obaseki, who was excited about the success of the program, said that they were able to reach more than two million people despite the short time the team was given to reach every corner of the State.
The Deputy Governor of the State, who was also the Chairman of the distribution team, expressed the team’s appreciation for the opportunity given to serve.
Mr Godson Kingsley, a representative of the Catholic Relief Services, a major partner in the Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets Replacement Campaign, said that as against the proposed 2,647,108 nets to be distributed, 2,110,150 were distributed. He commended the State Governor and other high-level officials of the State Government.
