The German ambassador to Nigeria, Bernhard Schlagheck paid a visit, earlier today, September 28 to the National Caretaker Committee at the party’s National secretariat in Abuja.

According to the PDP’s official twitter handle, the aim of the visit was to strengthen the tie between Germany and the party.

Meanwhile, the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR met with The Forum of PDP former Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, led by Rt. Hon. Inuwa Garba who came to congratulate him on the victory of PDP at the Supreme Court and the fatherly role Dr Jonathan played within.

The former President afterwards thanked the former Speakers and promised to work with all party stakeholders in the rebuilding process in PDP.

A ruling by the Supreme Court in July declaring Senator Ahmed Makarfi, as the bonafide National Chairman of the party had put to rest a 14-month leadership tussle between Makarfi and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff which had threatened to tear the party apart.
