Former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye, who is standing trial on alleged N1.162bn fraud before an FCT high court, Abuja closed his defence having called 16 witnesses in the case .
Dariye is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in a 21-count charge of money laundering and diversion of ecological funds to the tune of N1.162bn belonging to the state.
Counsel for Dariye, Kanu Agabi told the court that they have closed their case and applied for a written address.
While the prosecution counsel Olaleke Atolagbe, who is holding the brief of Rotimi Jacobs, did not object to the application.
Justice Adebukola Banjoko adjourned hearing till Dec. 7, for the written addresses.
