Considering the quick spread of the monkeypox virus in various States, fear has been instilled in Nigerians living in the affected regions – Bayelsa, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers States.

However, a certain man who’s based in Port-Harcourt, identified as Vure Kingsley, took to Facebook to express that he would not be deterred by the virus.

He killed and cooked monkeys, using them in preparing pepper soup, and uploaded pictures of same to Facebook.

According to him, the meal was eaten with a local herbal concoction known as Monkey tail.
