Over the weekend, a 15-year-old girl died in a Private Hospital after sustaining injuries incurred when she jumped from the third floor of a building in her school on Friday, over alleged harassment.

Gauri, as she was called, had allegedly objected to her sister being punished for talking in class. Her sister was reportedly made to sit with boys as punishment, and Gauri got into an argument with the teachers over this. The teachers however scolded her.

When she was mocked by her sister’s classmates over her protest, Gauri allegedly flared up and jumped off the building.

She was admitted to the Hospital where she eventually died at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, 23^rd October.

Gauri’s father filed a complaint against two teachers of the school, claiming that his daughter attempted suicide after being mentally harassed by the teachers.
