Things got out of hand at the Miami-Virginia Tech game on Saturday night and it culminated in a Police Officer punching a woman in the face after she slapped him.
In the video which has gone viral online, the woman, a Miami fan identified as Bridget Freitas, is seen being carried out of the stadium by about four Police Officers. In the midst of it all, she slaps one of the Police Officers. Almost like a reflex, the Officer immediately reacted with a punch in Bridget’s face.
Police have charged Bridget, a 30-year-old nurse, with felony battery on a Police Officer, for slapping the Detective.
Miami-Dade Police Detective, Alvaro Zabaleta, said on Sunday, that the Department was examining the video to ensure that proper procedures were followed.
